Supply Chain Assistant

Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a student to join our client, a leading manufacturer of frozen confectionery products, as a Supply Chain Assistant for 12 months. This is a great opportunity for a student who is looking for a placement in order to gain valuable experience in supply chain.

Key areas of involvement
The student may be involved with some or all of the areas below, flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude is required:
– Monitoring and management of orders
– Stock level optimisation at different warehouses
– Volume forecasting
– Liaising with colleagues and 3rd party logistics providers to optimise logistics
operations
– Regular communication with customers regarding orders and stock updates
– Use and analysis of customer databases
– Preparation of regular reports on performance, both internal and external
– Plus any other business activities as required.

Person Requirements
* Studying International Business and Management / Business Administration degree or similar
* An interest in Supply Chain Management
* Very good computer skills (especially Excel)
* Interpersonal and team working skills
* Self-motivation and good organisational skills
* Confident and can work on their own initiative
* A good sense of humour, a flexible and international approach and the desire to work in a fun but often challenging environment
* German speaking – (is an advantage but not essential)
