A Staycation in the UK
UK leading coach tour operators, Just Go Holidays suggest that ‘Staycations’ in England are becoming increasingly popular, and it’s easy to see why. From idyllic countryside and unspoiled coastlines to picturesque towns and cosmopolitan cities, England has so much to discover.”

By staying in the UK, you can save travel time, forget about the hassle around changing money or travel insurance, support the local economy and enjoy some of the plethora of interesting, fun, historical, and beautiful attractions that we have in Great Britain.

You could enjoy a coach tour holiday, visit some of the country’s castles, theme parks, go camping in Snowdonia, see the Lake District, visit Bath or London, enjoy the beaches of Devon and Cornwall, or hike in the Highlands, for example.

Prague
Getting to Prague is quick and easy, it’s just a short flight away. And even better is that it’s inexpensive when you get there – whilst being steeped in history. The old city of Prague is picturesque and dates back to the 9th century. Known for its quaint bridges, astrological clock, and medieval castles you can see the sights of Prague without spending much more than a koruna.

For some leisure time, Prague has a good range of bars and restaurants, suiting all tastes and budgets.

Interrailing in Europe
For those of you who are keen on reducing your carbon footprint but still feel the need to travel, there is an excellent rail network around Europe. Interrailing allows you to plan your trip, visit various different places on your way around, meet locals and other young people, and watch some of the continent’s most stunning scenery pass by. All in comfort and ease, and with sleeping options.

You will usually start your journey on the Eurostar in London, which can then connect you to a number of different destinations throughout Europe.

Practice your Languages
If you have been studying languages or are planning on using the languages that you know at work, you might want to visit a country that speaks that language before you start. This is a great way to boost your grasp of a language, practice what you know, emerge yourself in the language and culture, and get up to date with the latest trends in the language. A perfect way to stand you in good stead for your future career.

You can find low-cost flights to smaller cities around Europe which might give you a more cost-efficient and authentic experience than visiting popular, tourist-heavy locations.

Music Festivals
If music is your thing then why not spend a few days at a music festival? There are now festivals to suit any taste – from folk music, to rock, to dance, to ‘90’s music. You can also attend vegan festivals, blues festivals or reggae festivals.

A festival doesn’t mean that you have to go without a shower for a week either. Many festivals now offer glamping options, good showering facilities, and some of them even happen at holiday camps if you don’t fancy camping.

Going to a music festival can give you the chance to let your hair down, party with your friends and enjoy some of the best music of the moment before you have to settle down to a life of work. Go on, you deserve it!

Other City Breaks
There are a number of cities around Europe which are a short (and inexpensive) flight or train ride away. You could think about getting the Eurostar from London to Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam – three great cities to visit. You could also consider breaks to Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Poland, Macedonia, Greece, Slovakia, and Latvia.

Before you go out into the world of work, you deserve a little break – even if it’s only for a few days. There are many options available to you so why not have a look around and see what is most appealing?
