The accommodation you choose will depend on the type of setup you prefer, so we\u2019ll cover both halls and <a style=\"color: #0077af;\" href=\"https:\/\/sturents.com\/student-accommodation\/sheffield\">private student accommodation based in Sheffield<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, you don\u2019t have to worry too much about which area you choose for either university as most student areas are conveniently located just a 15 to 30 minute bus ride from both universities.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #454545; font-size: 15px;\"><b>Popular Areas for Private Accommodation:<\/b><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #454545;\"><b><br \/>\nBroomhall:<\/b><\/span> This student area is perfect for those wanting convenient travel to the city centre. If you\u2019re saving money, you\u2019ll find plenty of cheap chain pubs, such as Wetherspoons and Greene Kings. Freshers\u2019 Week is just the beginning though, throughout the year, you\u2019ll find a ton of student friendly events.<\/p>\n<p>Sheffield has a particularly lively music scene, one of the most notable music festivals is Tramline. This festival has been going annually since 2009 and has featured artists like Tom Grennan, Paolo Nutini, Jamie T, and Snow Patrol this year. There is usually a music event happening almost every day, you can check upcoming events <a style=\"color: #0077af;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sheffieldmusicscene.co.uk\/w_city_by_date_Sheffield.html\">on Sheffield Music Scene<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"><strong>Transport links<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Sheffield is known for having great transport links to other cities and it only takes 2 hours by train to get to London, which could be perfect for if you want to travel back home to see family. It also has great transport within the city.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst Sheffield is a great city to travel around on foot, it also has quick and simple public transport. The tramline in Sheffield is a popular choice with students. They are a cheap way of getting around the city with trams coming roughly every 10-15 minutes depending on the line.
