\nThe Student Project Manager will be responsible for supporting Assistant Project Managers (APM) and\/or Project Managers (PM) with regards to the delivery of capital projects.<\/p>\n

The Intern may also be required to attend sites across the programme \/ portfolio to assess progress, carry out health, safety and quality inspections to provide reports detailing their observations.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/span><\/u>
\nTo support in the day-to-day management of project activities, under the supervision of an APM and\/or Project Manager (PM) and will assist in delivering specific tasks within a larger project or individual projects of an appropriate size.<\/p>\n

Tasks will include but not be limited to:
\n* Assist the APM\/PM in developing the monthly job status report and the preparation of cost analysis forecasts
\n* Preparation of change controls and use of CEMAR
\n* Assist the APM\/PM to collate information for the project programme
\n* Creating purchase orders and assessing claims for payments
\n* Managing small projects and elements of larger schemes<\/p>\n

* Location info: Falmer will be base location. Ideally require students to be able to drive as they may be required to visit other sites.<\/em><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][mk_padding_divider size=”45″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1622633564130{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Person Requirements<\/span><\/strong>
\n* Undergraduates looking to take a year out in industry as part of their degree course
\n* Preferred Subjects: Engineering\/Science subject (or equivalent experience)<\/p>\n

Knowledge\/understanding of:<\/span><\/em>
\n* Project and contract management
\n* H&S standards and regulations
\n* Water or utility industry
\n* Water and Wastewater regulations<\/p>\n

Personal traits:<\/span><\/em>
\n* Construction Practices
\n* Management of various stakeholders
\n* Good communication (written & verbal)
\n* Good organisational skills
\n* Basic financial awareness<\/p>\n
