Market research is a fascinating, and rapidly-evolving business: insights now come from a huge variety of data sources including social media, behavioural metrics (captured with clever technology at the point of happening), as well as more traditional survey data.

At TNS we use market research to advise commercial clients on specific growth strategies around new market entry, innovation, brand switching and customer management. And in the social research arena our public affairs division informs decisions in government departments and in the public sector.

Who are we looking for?
The ability to reflect, problem solve and communicate with passion is more important than any particular background degree: successful placement students have come from an incredibly broad range of subjects – including arts, sciences, languages and business.

Most of all we need placement students with their wits about them who have the confidence to use their initiative, to work well in diverse teams and who can combine an-eye-for-detail with the ability to step back and see the broader picture.

(Minimum requirements: at least 300 UCAS points and GCSE, or equivalent, Maths & English at a minimum grade B. All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. You will need to be familiar with Microsoft Office (word, powerpoint and excel).
