On behalf of our client, Rolls Royce, we are currently recruiting a Design Systems Engineer to join them on a 12 month Placement starting from Summer 2015.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities of a Design Systems Engineer are to develop tools and methods using general engineering skills and an understanding of the product components and systems to which the tools and methods are going to be applied. The work will, in most instances, include requirements understanding, concept development and selection, optimisation of potential solutions, testing of solutions, and some aspects of training and post-implementation support.

Typically, a Design Systems Engineer will need to interact with range of specialists and operational engineers within the RR internal customer groups, and also form close working relationships within the methods and tools development groups.

The tasks for this recruitment need are related to methods of rapid generation of CAD geometry using some of the functionality within Siemens NX. Preparation of knowledge capture, training material, user guides, and presentations may also be required.

Minimum Requirements
* Should be studying any of the following courses:
Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Product Design
* Aiming for a 2:1 or above
* Working Knowledge of CAD, Matlab, FEA, CFD
* Proficient in Microsoft Packages
* Interpersonal and team working skills
* Self-motivation and good organisational skills

* Would be ideal to someone who is living in the Midlands area near to the location
