Job Role
The Graduate Software Implementation Consultants main role is to provide deployment, implementation and migration upgrade services for EMIS’s flagship products. Working in a highly focused team you will be responsible for migrating and commissioning EMIS customers to our latest product, EMIS Web. Your tasks must be carried out to a very high standard and within the deadlines set.

The Ideal candidates will be educated to Degree level in computer sciences or equivalent in a relevant discipline, as a Technical Implementation Consultant you will be involved with the day-to-day operations within our Implementation Team. You will need to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure in a fast moving environment. You will need to rapidly acquire the skills necessary for implementing technical applications, particularly the installation of databases and proprietary software applications, as well as an understanding of issues relating to installing and managing applications in a production environment, but of course any prior knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
Shift work will be a requirement and hence own transport advantageous.

Person Specification
• Must be able to demonstrate a meticulous attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical personnel
• Fast leaner to acquire new skills and open to new concepts

Skills and Experience
• Understanding of Operating Systems – Windows Server Family
• Exposure to SQL Server Manager for the purpose of scripting, monitoring and reporting.
• Experience of an implementation and/or support environment an advantage but not essential
• Understanding of Database management and troubleshooting
• Understanding of web servers, proxy servers etc
• Understanding of Networking Infrastructure including routers, firewalls, WAN/LAN, VPN and remote working

Degree
Degree level in computer sciences or equivalent in a relevant discipline
